Promoted by word of mouth, Trade represented the hedonism of the 90s. It quickly transformed the club scene with clubbers partying in the west end or Brixton Fridge until 3am before piling into cabs back to Farringdon where the party continued all night… and, for many, the whole weekend.
Suzy Krueger controlled the door with an iron first, and the slow queue evolved its own party spirit camaraderie feel.
The glowing decor seemed new and exciting. I also saw many many things for the first time in there…none of which I can mention here. The music was out of this world at the time, make the night a global brand.
London is now a global clubbing destination.
