For the fourth consecutive day, anti-racism protesters outnumbered anti-immigration protesters in some locations.

Riots broke out after misinformation on social media suggested that the suspect in the July 29 knife attack in Southport, northwest England, was a Muslim migrant.

More than 480 people have been arrested so far, with nearly 150 charged. Dozens have been held in jail. The cases are being fast-tracked through the justice system and more are expected to be convicted. The government hopes that swift judicial action will help prevent further unrest.
